How to turn off suggested accounts on Instagram

The ‘Suggestions For You’ section of the feed often appears after the first or second post in the feed. If the undesired profile appears again, you can easily remove it by tapping the cross icon that is located in the upper-right area near it.

Method 1 – Remove suggestions from the profile feed

Method 2 – Remove suggestions from the Discover tab
- Step 1– Launch the Instagram app, navigate to your profile, and tap the profile photo located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Step 2– To access the menu, touch the three lines in the screen’s upper-right corner.
- Step 3– Proceed to the Discover people page.
- Step 4– You will see the exact same list as the one that appears in the profile feed. If you encounter a profile that you do not want to be included in the recommendations, all you have to do is tap the cross icon that is located next to it.
